GRT staff has recently attended several training seminars and conferences to ensure that they are aware of and utilizing the latest and most appropriate environmental investigation, assessment, and remediation techniques. Recent trainings include the Groundwater Remediation Course presented by Princeton Groundwater, Inc., Midwest Geosciences Group's course on "Improving the Description and Characterization of Glacial Successions", and LIAA's course on ArcGIS. Furthermore, two of GRT's key personnel presented an "Evaluation of DNAPL Source Zone Reduction in Silty-Clay Beneath and Occupied Residential and Commercial Structure" at Battelle's 2008 Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds Conference.
Upcoming training events include attendance of MSU's alumni fieldtrip focusing on the northwestern lower peninsula of Michigan's late Wisconsin glacial deposits and Holocene modifications.
